Reverend Dale L. Diffee, age 79, of Hot Springs went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 8, 2014. He was born October 31, 1934 to the late Rev. Rayford and Gussie Massey Diffee. He was a retired United Methodist Minister and veteran of the United States Air Force. He served for 56 years as a United Methodist minister in Arkansas, at churches in Buckner, Junction City, Village, Roe, Taylor, Gillett, White Hall, McGehee, Hot Springs, Prescott and Malvern. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rogene Fay Diffee; brother, Rev. Carl Diffee and sister, Janetta Schisler. Survivors include his wife and best friend, Marie Albey Diffee (whom Clay Helm gave Dale his approval to date his granny); sons, Gary (Pam) Diffee of Hot Springs and Rev. Bryan (Gretchen) Diffee of Star City; daughters, Karen (Davey) Monroe of Dewitt and Lesa (David) Eastham of Warner Robins, GA; stepchildren, Ron (Claudine) Albey of Malvern, Mary Jeffries of Royal and Dr. Mark (Kellye) Albey of Benton, 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 11 from 6-8 p.m. at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, March 12 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Hot Springs with Rev. LaVon Post and Rev. Loyd Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Beaton Cemetery in Bismarck. Pallbearers will be Edgar Johnson, Michael Johnson, Brett Davis, Dennis Johnson, Jerry Johnson and Bryant Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Albey, Justin Cluck, Clay Helm and members of the Arkansas United Methodist Clergy. Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home.
