Betty Lou Vickers, 78, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 7, 2014. Betty was born March 31, 1935 in Pottsville to the late Coy and Hazel (Brannon) Douthit. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Roby Vickers and sister, JoAnn Epperson. Mrs. Vickers retired from Sears, and was a huge Razorback fan. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by son Allen Vickers and wife Shelley of Little Rock and daughter Charlotte Spillers of Little Rock; siblings, Martha Nell Brace of Lincoln, Neb., Rev. Wayne Douthit of Mabelvale, and Ella Mae Alder of Fairbanks, Alaska; grandchildren, Erin Vickers, Leigh-Alyson Walters (Rich), Priscilla Kellebrew, and Sean Spillers; great-grandchildren, Maddie Walters, Alyssa Kellebrew, and Connor Walters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 10-11:30 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at Arkansas Funeral Care, 2620 W. Main St., Jacksonville. Funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with her nephew Marlon Douthit officiating. Burial will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Ave., NLR.
