Carl Glenn of Little Rock died Friday, March 7, 2014. He was born June 8, 1938, in Konawa, Okla., the second child of Mattie Fife Glenn and Carl E. Glenn Jr. He is survived by his wife, Betty Turner Glenn; his daughter, Sharon Glenn Boyd, her husband, Patrick; and the loves of Carl's life, granddaughters Ashlyn Kate and Erin Elisabeth. Two nephews, David Glenn and Jon Glenn; two special nieces, Kari Adcock and Megan McDavitt; and his best buddy, Mozart "Mo" Glenn also survive him. Carl's parents, one sister, and one brother preceded him in death. Carl graduated from Batesville High School, Batesville, Ark. and from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a degree in Agriculture. For over 20 years, he worked in institutional food sales. Carl was an active member of Westover Hills Presbyterian Church. He served as a "big brother" in the early days of the Big Brother Program and was active in prison ministry. He found the most pleasure in spending time with his family and working in his garden. For 30 years, Carl regularly kept a journal-and regularly offered thanks on these pages. He ended every journal entry with these words. "Thank you, God---Amen! CG." A memorial service,conducted by Rev. Frank LeBlanc, will be held at Westover Hills Presbyterian Church, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 15.
