Jason Stephen Butler, age 44, passed away March 12, 2014 at his home in Little Rock. Jason graduated from Kemper Military School in 1988 and was a self-taught musician. He was raised in the Baptist faith and attended Antioch Baptist Church much of his life. Jason was a spiritual man with a love for art, music, and family. Jason was an active member of AA, serving as a sponsor and attending the AA Cosmopolitan Group in Little Rock. He was a loving father, brother, son, uncle, and friend, who will be greatly missed. Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents; Charles and Ann Rounsavall, and Ruby Butler. He is survived by his two sons; Gage and Quinn Butler, and step-daughter; Madison Balmat; his parents; Sandra Rounsavall Butler, and Tom S. (Becky) Butler, one sister; Meredith Butler (Benny) Scroggin, two brothers; Jared (Jessica) Butler, and Justin (Lindsey) Butler, and grandfather; Stephen (Joy) Butler, aunts and uncles; Catherine Rounsavall, Mark Rounsavall, Jerry (Carolyn) Butler, Janet (Bob) Harrison, nieces and nephews; Mia and Monica Griffin, Jody and Wade Butler, Noelle and Liza Butler Scroggin. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 15th at 10 a.m. at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. 72211 (501) 224-8300. Jason's family asks that family and friends bring pictures of Jason and/or cards with a favorite memory/story written to share with Gage and Quinn about their father.
