Lacey Sachel Bradley-Story, 34, of Herndon, Va. passed away, Thursday, March 6, 2014. She was born on Nov. 18, 1979 in Santa Monica, Calif. She resided in Little Rock, Ark. during her youth and attended schools in the Little Rock area. She graduated from Little Rock Central High in 1998. Lacey received her BA in fine arts from New College in Sarasota, Fla. She received her masters in finance and economics from Brandeis College in Boston, Mass., and her PhD in international relations from Northeastern College in Boston, Mass. She was the recipient of several academic awards including the prestigious Boren Fellowship. Lacey spent two years in Shanghai, China teaching at Shanghai High School. Upon returning to the United States, Lacey worked in the economic arena, taught at Northeastern University and was currently employed as a staff officer at the Department of Defense. In pursuit of personal and career goals Lacey traveled extensively around the globe doing research and enjoying life. Part of her work included publishing papers in her field where she was awarded citations for meritorious work. Lacey is survived by her father, Michael Bradly of Maumelle, Ark.; one sister, Brie Alford (Jon) of Winston Salem, N.C.; two nieces, Mackenzie Abigail Alford and Sloane Sachel Alford; and one nephew, Jackson Bradley Alford. She is preceded in death by her mother, Cindy Bradley; grandparents, Margaret and Harold Bradley and Joe and Maxine Wofford. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 17, 2014 in the Chapel of Roller Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. 501-224-8300.
