Louis Green Outlaw age 96, of Sumpter, Ark. died Friday, March 14 at the Chapel Woods Nursing Home. He was born June 22, 1917 in Sumpter, Ark., a son of the late William Alonzo Outlaw and Etta Mae Wolfe Outlaw. Louis was a farmer, a cattleman and enjoyed raising a garden. With help, he managed to never miss a spring garden and was blessed to have lived independently until the last three weeks of his life, except for a few early adult years he lived his life on the farm where he was born in Sumpter, Ark. Louis was a faithful member of Martins Chapel Methodist Church and believed strongly in doing right and hard work. He was also preceded in death, by his wife, Lena Bell Mann Outlaw, who died Nov. 30, 1992; a daughter, Carylon Ann Outlaw who died Oct. 31, 1945; brothers, William Preston Outlaw, Troy Curtis Outlaw, Rufus Spain Outlaw and Henry Elmon Outlaw; sisters, Bessie Erma Outlaw, Annie Mae Outlaw, Lena Belle Sharp, Lela Estelle Fletcher, Veda Lucille Pennington, and Verda Veree Lowry. He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews who both loved and respected him. Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday, March 17 at Frazer's Chapel. Burial in Outlaw Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home.
