Robert R. Barker Sr.

ROBERT R. BARKER SR., 96, of Little Rock, and recently of Hot Springs, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 14, 2014 in Hot Springs. He was born in Durant, Okla. on Dec. 16, 1917 to the late Robert O. and Pearl Spencer Barker. He enjoyed his large family and leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Rudene; son, Robert R. Barker Jr. (Bonnie) of Little Rock; daughters, Constance Manzer of Hot Springs Village and Joan Walker (Karl) of Benton; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other friends and family members. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Christie; parents; five sisters; son, Ronald Barker; and granddaughter, Kelly. Reverend Dr. Karen Akin will officiate the funeral service at 2 p.m., Monday, March 17, 2014 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. 72211, Phone: 501-224-8300.
