Gertrude Mary Mongno

Gertrude Mary (Kingsley) Mongno was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on December 22, 1919 and died on March 16, 2014. She was the wife of the late SSgt. James J. Mongno Sr., RA, and mother of James J. Mongno Jr. (Junelle) and Thomas D. Mongno and his late wife Angela. She was the last living member of ten children born to her parents Pauline and Walter F. Kingsley. She is survived by her sons, James (Junelle) and Thomas and three grandchildren, Anthony T. Mongno (Letha), Lisa M. Mongno of Cannes France and Lisa M. (Mongno) Owens (Daniel), 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was a loving, caring mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family. Mrs. Mongno was a 20 year member of the Jacksonville SERTOMA Club. A private service for immediate family members will be held at a later date.
