Gill Taylor

Gill Ervin Taylor, 61, of Paron, Ark., passed away March 17, 2014. Gill was born on August 9, 1952 in Hot Springs, Ark., to the late G.W. "Dub" Taylor and Shirley Williams Taylor. He graduated from Paron High School and spent many years traveling the U.S. as a truck driver. He worked for Price Pipeline, and for the past several years he drove for J and R Trucking in Haskell, Ark. When he wasn't working, Gill spent the majority of his time at his home near Lake Winona in Paron. Gill was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a son, Dusty Taylor, stepsons, Glenn Tyson and wife, Sunshine, and Trampas Tyson, and his children's mother, Barbara Taylor, all of Benton, Ark.; four grandchildren, Dalton Davis, Dailee Taylor and Megan Tyson, all of Benton, and Kincade Richards of Oklahoma; brothers, Carl Taylor of Paron and Sandy Taylor and wife, Laurie, of Dover; sister, Portia Orme and husband, Larry, of Morningview, Ky.; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who all loved him dearly. Visitation will be Friday, March 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ashby Funeral Home in Benton. Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 22 at 11 a.m. at Bolin Cemetery in Paron.
