Mary Kathryn "Mickie" Dobson

Mary Kathryn "Mickie" Dobson of Benton, Arkansas, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. She was born December 2nd, 1933, to John C. Harlan and Willie Irene Gardner Harlan in Humphrey, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank A. "Pady" Dobson, son Terry Neal Dobson, and sister Maylene Bullock. Mickie was a member of Humphrey Baptist Church for 65 of her 80 years and Spring Creek Baptist Church in Benton the past 15. She deeply loved her Lord, her family, her two church homes, and many wonderful friends. Putting others ahead of herself and selflessly serving them gave her the greatest joy in life. "Mickie," "Hero," "Mama," "Precious," "Mimi," will be missed by those she left behind. Survivors include her sister, Maxine Yount of Humphrey, son Stan Dobson, daughter and son-in-law Gigi and Will Dawson, all of Benton; granddaughter Kathryn Stevens and her husband Matthew of Searcy, Ark. as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be Monday, March 24, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Humphrey Baptist Church, 400 North Division Street, Humphrey, Arkansas. A second memorial service will be Saturday, March 29, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Spring Creek Baptist Church, 19200 Interstate 30, Benton, Arkansas. Visitation will begin one hour before each service.
