Freda Inez Johnson

FREDA INEZ JOHNSON, 86, of Jacksonville, born May 15, 1927, passed away March 21, 2014. She was a member of Bayou Meto Baptist Church and the Seekers Sunday School class. She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Dale Johnson; parents, Homer Fortson, Minnie Bearden-Fortson. Freda is survived by her husband, Vestal. She is also survived by son, Jerry (MaryAnn) Johnson; daughter, Peggy (Joe) Holladay; sister, Alta (Billy) Lemay; brother, Maurice (Velma) Fortson; grandchildren, Matthew (Ricki) Johnson, Michael (Amy) Johnson, Kimberly (Joel) Holladay, and Jennifer Holladay; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 10 a.m., Monday, March 24 at Bayou Meto Baptist Church on Hwy 107 in Jacksonville. Funeral to follow at 11.
