LEON POST, 78, of Little Rock departed this life March 20, 2014, in the company of his family. He was born Oct. 11, 1935 in Kingsland, Ark. to Ralph and Cleo Post. His love for family guided his life direction. Leon enjoyed music his entire life. He studied piano under Floyd Cramer. Some of the highlights of his career included playing at the Louisiana Hayride for Elvis Presley and Hank Williams Sr. He also toured with Jim Ed Brown and Jim Reeves. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayburn Post; sister, Monita White; and grandchildren, Jeremy Post and Chelsea Post. Those remaining with Leon's music in their hearts include his four sons, Keith Post (Carla) of Crawfordville, Fla., Scott Post of Little Rock, Jeff Post (Christina) of Moorehead, Ky., and Jason Post (April) of Salem, Ark.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rhoda Feagins and Bettye Hosto; and his former wife, Barbara Post. The funeral service will be at 12 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2014 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. 72211, Phone: 501-224-8300.
