Barbara Ann Kist

Barbara Ann Kist, 82, of Searcy, went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 24, 2014. She was born on Friday, May 1, 1931 in Flint, Michigan to the late Claude E. and Pearl H. Scruggs Parish. Mrs. Kist was a homemaker, loved drawing, writing poetry, taking care of her flowers and her horse "Babbs". She was a member of the Kensett Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford Kist; stepson, Greg Kist; stepdaughter, Pam Polk; sister, Willadean Hecker; brothers, Donald Parish and Earl Parish; and step-grandson, Travis Moore. Left to cherish her memory are five sons, Danny Haddix (Donna) of Atlanta, Georgia, Randy Haddix of Atlanta, Michigan, Don Haddix (Regina) of Pangburn, Arkansas, Brad Haddix (Joy) of Searcy, Arkansas, and Bryan Haddix (Cheryl) of Morrice, Michigan; a sister, Joan Summers of Zephyrhills, Florida; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, March 27, 2014, 6-8 p.m., in the Chapel of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home (501) 268-3546. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Josiah Tilton and Dan Haddix officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
