James "Mitch" Weatherford

James "Mitch" Weatherford, of Pearcy, was born Feb. 18, 1953 to Hershel and Irene Weatherford in Bonnerdale, Ark. married Vicki Lynn Bell Feb. 18, 1977. Mitch went to be with our Lord and Savior March 25, 2014. He is predeceased by his parents, Hershel and Irene Weatherford, his father and mother-in-law, Jack and Monnie Bell and his beloved brother, Marshall Weatherford. His passing has left Vicki without the love of her life and her best friend. He will be greatly missed by all. To continue Mitch's legacy, are his wife, Vicki, children, Jason and Cyndi Weatherford; Tara Weatherford; Jamie and Ashleigh Weatherford and Richard and Chesney Weatherford. Mitch is also survived by six grandchildren: Hannah, Chase, Jayci, Merrick, Blakely and Maeleigh. He is also survived by his siblings, Lonnie and Wanda Weatherford, Louise and Tommy Mehalic, Cecilia Weatherford, Greg Weatherford and Jeff and Mindy Weatherford along with countless nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews and even a few great-great nieces and nephews. Over the last 40 years, Mitch has become well known and respected not only in the plumbing supply business but most recently in the heating and air conditioning supply business and leaves behind many friends, customers and acquaintances. Mitch graduated from Bismarck High School in 1971. Was well known for his athletic ability and still holds the school record for most rebounds in one game (32). His athletic ability is something he passed along to all four of his children and his grandchildren seem to have inherited his athletic ability as well. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gross Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gross Funeral Home with Brother George Vincent officiating.
