Willian C. Ward

William Curtis Ward, age 88, of Texarkana, Texas died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at his residence. Mr. Ward was born November 5, 1925, in Prescott, Arkansas. He was the retired owner of Ward Forest Products. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in WWII, was a member of Williams Memorial United Methodist Church, a former Texarkana, Texas City Councilman, and past president of the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by his wife LaVerne Ward of Texarkana, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law David and Susan Ward of Texarkana, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Steve Ledwell of Texarkana, Texas; grandchildren Marshall Ward of Texarkana, Texas; Anna Ward of Texarkana, Texas; Kelsey Ward Crews and her husband Kory of San Antonio, Texas; Ben Ledwell and his wife Meredith of Texarkana, Texas; Lesley Ledwell of Austin, Texas; Morgan Ledwell Gaddis and her husband Ben of Austin, Texas; and two great grandchildren Lillian and Evelyn Rose Ledwell of Texarkana, Texas. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, at Williams Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Brad Morgan officiating. Private internment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
