Mary Florene Hanks

MARY FLORENE HANKS, of Jacksonville, born Nov. 20, 1936, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2014 and is now looking down on us from heaven. Preceded in death by her parents, Charles Van Ness and Susan Bennet; her husband, William James Hanks; her son, Johnny Eckenroth; daughter, May Elizabeth Eckenroth; grandson, Christopher (C.J.) Hanks; sisters, Doris Van Ness, Lois Van Ness, Charlene Hornsby, and Winnie Nelson. She is survived by her son, James Hanks; daughter-in-law, Peggie Hanks of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Megan Hanks of Jacksonville; great-grandchildren, Mckinzie Hanks and Connor Hanks of Cabot; sisters, Pat (Eugene) Spann of Mabelvale, Lorene (O.J.) Ramick of Sheridan; and brothers, Jim (Dodie) Van Ness of Shreveport, and Eugene (Mary) Van Ness of Rison; and many nieces and nephews.
