Jerry Wayne Cone

Jerry Wayne Cone, 69 of Star City, died Thursday at Cornerstone Hospital of Jacksonville. He was born January 6, 1945 in Pine Bluff to the late Garsie "Guy" and Virginia Culpepper Cone. He attended Yorktown Baptist Church, worked for International Paper for over 36 years, loved to hunt and was a member of Culpepper Hunting Club. Survivors include his two daughters, Stacey (Tim) Renee Clark of Harvey, La. and Teri Lynn Carmichael of Conway; two grandchildren, Kathryn Carmichael and Ethan Cole Roofener; and many cousins and friends. Funeral Services are 4 p.m. Saturday at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Bro. Robert Green officiating. Visitation is 3 p.m. until funeral time Saturday at the funeral home.
