James Dalton Starbuck, 72 was born to Odis and Virgie Paul Starbuck on February 3, 1942 in Judsonia, Arkansas and passed away on May 6, 2014 in Little Rock, Arkansas. James was of the Baptist faith and he served in the United States Air Force. He was a man of endless talents. There was hardly a skill that he did not posses or was not determined to learn. He was indeed a perfectionist, if he built or designed anything it needed to be as close to perfect as he could make it. He refused to settle for good enough. If that meant starting from scratch multiple times, so be it. He even measured his garden rows. He had a giving heart and was always first to offer help to those in need, be it an ear to listen, a roof for shelter, to a meal at his table, even if that meant giving up his portion. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and always put their needs above all others. He had a smile that would warm any heart. He loved his time in the military. He was a crew chief for F-100 fighter jets, making sure they were in tip top shape. He also enjoyed cooking, hunting, camping, fishing, horseback riding, gardening and of course dancing with his wife. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, David Odell Starbuck, a sister, Juanita Bennett, two granddaughters, Tabatha Powell, and Kayla Ann Harris. He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Starbuck, two sons, Mark Dalton Henry (Melissa), of Springdale, Arkansas, Kenneth Dalton Starbuck, of California, three daughters, Cara Storey (Steve), of Searcy, Laura Ann Coney of Searcy, Hope Smith (John) of Fountain Lake, grandchildren, Anthony Powell, Bonnie Powell, Blair Yingling, Daniel Harris, Gavin Haas, Rex Norman, Destiny Davis, Hayden Henry, Brandy Berringer, Angela Kinard, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be Friday, May 9, 2014, 6-8 p.m. at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
