Mary Harris

Mary Lee Harris, 87, of Sherwood, passed away Wednesday May 7, 2014. Mrs. Harris was born October 12, 1926 in Star City, Arkansas, to parents Earnest Williams and Ida Bradshaw Williams. She married Oris W. Harris on May 3, 1946. She was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church, Sherwood, for 49 years. She worked for Victory Baptist School in the cafeteria for a number of years. In addition to her parents, she preceded in death by her husband, Oris W. Harris in 2002; granddaughter, Amy Gatrell; brother, William Williams; brother, Ben Williams; sister, Viola Dorsey; sister, Venia Morgan; brother, Albert Williams; and sister, Mandy Johnson. Left to cherish her memory are three children, Gary Harris and wife Mary; Tommy Harris and wife Carla; Lisa Harris Dodd and husband Dennis. Grandchildren Brian Harris and Kimberly Dove. Great-grandchildren, Baylor and Jaylyn Gatrell; Mason and Kaitlyn Dove; and Autumn Harris. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Victory Baptist Church with Interment at Hardin Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, from 12:30–1 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Robinson Nursing home for their loving care over the last two years.
