Jessie "Sarge" W. Spears

Jessie "Sarge" W. Spears, 90, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born May 30, 1923, and he died Sunday, May 11, 2014. He is survived by his daughter, Joan (Billy) Reaves; son, Jerry (Brenda) Spears; two sisters, Mabel Bennett Ashcraft and Sue Gifford; two brothers, Richard Spears and Marvin Spears; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. Jessie was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Spears; brothers Fred Spears, Bobby Spears, Russell Spears, Leon Spears, Jack Spears and Alvin Spears; and his sister, Thelma Williams. The family would like to give special thanks to Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
