Mrs. Bonnie Engelkes Harrod, 71, of Hamburg, died Thursday, May 15, 2014 in Little Rock. Mrs. Harrod was a native of Stuttgart; a resident of Hamburg for many years and a former resident of Arkadelphia for 10 years. She graduated from Hamburg High School in 1961. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a former member of the First Baptist Church in Arkadelphia. She was a homemaker, a farmers wife and avid bird watcher. She enjoyed riding the farm roads with Papa in their El Camino. She is preceded in death by a son, Tab Harrod in 1997; a grandson, Jeremy Harrod in 1983 and her parents, Lloyd & Margaret Henderson Engelkes. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Boyce Harrod; two daughters, Amy Harrod (April) and LeAnne Krillenberger (John) all of Little Rock; a daughter-in-law, Terri LaGrone Harrod Streeter of Hamburg; seven grandsons, Brent Harrod, Brandon Harrod and Hayden Harrod, Tray Krillenberger, Evan Krillenberger, Ethan Cetehows and Reid Schlack and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services are 3 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2014 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Bobby Pennington officiating. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Pallbearers are grandsons, Brent Harrod, Brandon Harrod, Hayden Harrod, Tray Krillenberger, Evan Krillenberger and Reid Schlack. Honorary pallbearers are Shan Streeter, Carl John Gwin, Ralph Parker, Randy Tomerlin, Bill Bonds and members of the Hamburg Fire Department. Memorials may be made to the Tab Harrod Memorial Scholarship Fund by the Hamburg Fire Department, c/o Bryan Hollis, 121 Greenbrier Road, Hamburg, Ark. 71646.
