Lee Ernest Evans Jr.

Lee Ernest Evans Jr., 86, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014. He was born May 29, 1927 in El Dorado and lived in Jonesboro for 44 years. Mr. Evans was a member of the Winfield Methodist Church in Little Rock and attended First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro. He retired from General Electric as a purchasing agent and a past member of the Jonesboro Kiwanis Club. He is survived by two sons, Gary Lee Evans of Little Rock and Rick Lee Evans of Searcy; two grandchildren, Jarrod Evans and Rachel Matuschek and husband Frank all of Jonesboro; a great-grandson, Owyn Matuschek. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ouida Christine Evans. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, May 19, 2014 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
