James H. Grice

James H. Grice, Sr. 91, of Kingsland died Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Dallas County Medical Center in Fordyce. He was born April 20, 1923 in Cleveland County, Arkansas. He was a retired foreman for International Paper Company. Mr. Grice was a faithful charter member and deacon of Kingsland Missionary Baptist Church and he was a Mason. He is preceded in death by his parents, O.V. Grice and Mary Anna Rodgers Grice; wife, Sarah Lavern Mosley Grice; two brothers, Morris Grice and Robert Grice; and one sister, Elsie Burks. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Hubert Jr. and Diane Grice of Kingsland, Randall and Linnie Grice of Kingsland; one brother, Virgil Grice of Watson Chapel; one sister, Kathleen Vought of Bryant; five grandchildren, Tammy (Mark) Clampet of Bismark, Mia (David) Bryant of Rogers, Randy (Donna) Grice of Zachary, La., Jamey (Leslie) Grice of Kingsland, Robb Grice of Kingsland; 11 great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Kingsland Missionary Baptist Church. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Hugh Nutt and Dallas County Medical Center for their special care. Visitation will be Wednesday 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Benton Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Bolin officiating.
