James "Jimmy" M. Loetscher Sr., 86, of Mayflower passed away Saturday May 24, 2014. He was born July 3, 1927 in Conway, Ark. to the late Joseph P. and Flora (Hart) Loetscher. Jimmy was also preceded in death by his daughter, Glenda "LuLu". Jimmy was of the Baptist faith and a veteran who served honorably in the United States Air Force during WWII. He was employed for over 25 years at Datsun in Little Rock as Auto Body Shop Manager. Jimmy enjoyed squirrel hunting, fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean E. Loetscher; son, James M. Loetscher Jr. (Shirley); daughter, Tammy Lee (Greg) all of Mayflower; grandchildren, Tricia Burleson (Mark), James "Trey" M. Loetscher III (Amanda) and Jamie Malone; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; and his very special friend of 55 years, Joe Boyer. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday May 28, 2014 at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway (501) 327-7727.
