Patsy McCoy Easterly

Patsy McCoy Harvey Easterly, age 82 of Alexander, Arkansas, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant. She was born in Malvern on November 29, 1931 to the late Joe W. McCoy and Olline Hemby McCoy. Reared and receiving her early education in Malvern, she was a 1950 graduate of MHS, and later attended Henderson State Teachers College. She was a homemaker and, for a short time, worked as a PBX operator for the State of Arkansas. Pat was an avid reader, loved to sew, and was heavily into genealogy, helping to keep her family's history alive. She was a Baptist by denomination. Pat was the widow of Bill Easterly, who preceded her in death in 2000. Her survivors include her children, Patti Clardy and her husband, Ron of Glen Rose, Susie Adams and her husband Mike of Alexander, Michael Harvey and his wife Barbara, and Timothy Harvey, all of Amity; four step-children, Billy Easterly of McKinney, Texas, Roger Easterly of Sacramento, California, Mike Easterly of Little Rock, and Scott Easterly and his wife Buffy of Bauxite; two brothers, Jack McCoy and his wife Pat of Malvern, Bill McCoy and his wife Anna Sue of Hot Springs; three sisters, Kay McCoy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Judy Bowers and her husband Dean of Granbury, Texas, and Joe Rice of Pocahontas, Arkansas; and by a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at J.A. Funk Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. Her funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday morning, May 30, 2014 in the chapel of J.A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother Randy Ward officiating. Interment will follow on the family plot in Rockport Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Aaron Kizer, Braden Tackett, Raymond Robinson, D.J. Williams, Scott Allen Easterly, and Mike McKim. Honorary pallbearers are: Eddie Tackett, Matt Allen, and Jason Clardy. Online condolences may be sent via www.jafunkfuneralhome.com.
