Grayden Moulthrop

Grayden Moulthrop, 85, of Searcy passed away Oct. 29, 2014. He was preceded in death by Carolyn, his wife of 59 years. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Debra Moulthrop and his grandson, Benjamin, all of Dallas, Texas; his brothers, Donald Moulthrop of Great Barrington, Mass. and Raymond Moulthrop of Clarksville, Mass.; their families and numerous extended family and friends. Grayden held a BS from North Carolina State University and worked his entire life in the lumber business, particularly oak flooring. He loved traveling all over the world with Carolyn and had just returned from a trip to Massachusetts for his high school reunion at the time of his death. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. Gray loved people. Ed and Ben were the joy of his life and he was able to spend a lot of time with them since losing Carolyn last year. He met friends for breakfast every day; exercised with friends at Health Corp. and loved his Sunday School Class at Saint Paul United Methodist Church. Our sorrow is eased by the knowledge he is safe with his Savior. A memorial service will be Wednesday, Nov. 5 at the St. Paul United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Cremation arrangements by Powell Funeral Home of Searcy: www.powellfuneralhome.net.
