Harold Lloyd "Chuck" Mills, 80, of Sherwood passed away Monday, November 10th. Born in Silver City, Iowa to parents Charles and Edna Mills, Chuck attended Arkansas Baptist College prior to enlisting in the U.S. Air Force, where he served for 25 years, retired, and then went to work for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring from there after 40 years of service. Chuck is described by his family as a giving person always putting others needs before his own. He had an extreme love for sports - especially the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved to listen to his son preach, to work crossword puzzles and to watch "The Young and the Restless;" but most of all he loved his family and friends- especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Gladys Moore and brother, Donald Mills. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 56 years, Modena Mills, children Michael (Donna) Mills, Evonna Turner, Ronald Mills, Theresa Mills, Cindy Williams, Kathy (Alan) Sarna, Michelle (Kevin) Comford, Tommy Norman, Tammy Shaw, 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sister, Margaret Crane, brother, Jerry Mills and very special friend, Joe Jones. The family will host a visitation from 6–8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72117. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 13th at the funeral home with entombment immediately following.
