Barry Ray Strickland

Barry Ray Strickland, 33, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 10, 2014. He was born August 16, 1981 in Searcy. Barry was a graduate of Bald Knob High School and had been employed by Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the Park Avenue Baptist Church and honorably served his country as a member of the 2nd/153 Bn. 39th BCT. He is survived by his loving parents, Jed Barry and Rita Diane (Wheeler) Strickland; sister, Autumn (Strickland) Branam; niece and nephews, Isabella, Ian and Asa Branam; maternal grandmother, Gracie Wheeler; maternal grandfather and his wife, Everett and Mary Ann Wheeler. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Earl and Bernice Strickland. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Central Baptist Church in Bald Knob.
