Lloyd "Alan" Curtis, 76, passed away on November 12, 2014 at his home in Maumelle. He was born in Siloam Springs, Ark on October 5, 1938 to Lloyd E and M. Myrtle Curtis. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Donna (Cobb) Curtis; children, Jeff Curtis (Theresa) of Frisco, Texas and Mark Curtis (Kathy) of Arlington, Texas: grandchildren, Ashley, Ross, Avery, Gavin and Allie; and, brother, Jim Curtis (Anita) of Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents. Alan was a proud member of the class of '57 from Siloam Springs High. He attended the U of A Fayetteville. He proudly served in the US Army and reached the rank of SGT E-5. Alan was born to be a salesman and he retired from the 3M Company as a Sales Executive after many years. Alan loved history. He painted, collected and studied the Civil War era. His gift of artistry was evident in his art work which he shared with others. His contagious smile, laughter and a love of a great story carried him through life. Alan served his Lord through the New Life Church of Greater Little Rock. Visitation will be held at the church at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 16th, with A Celebration of Life to follow at 3 p.m. A special thank you to Dr. Isaam Makhoul, Dr. Daniel Borja, Dr. Matt Hardy and Dr. Kent Westbrook of UAMS and the Baptist Hospice team for their loving care. Special thanks to Cisco Patterson for his gentle care at home during Alan's fight with pancreatic cancer. He loved fresh cut flowers and would have enjoyed lots of them at his service.
