Charles T. Koon, 88, of Paron went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Nov. 15, 2014. He was born Nov. 23, 1925 to Jeff and Iris Koon of Ferndale, Ark. He was preceded in death by his brother, Carroll Gene Koon; his father and mother and a very special son, Charles Terry Koon Jr. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Wanda Thomas Koon; his sister, Roberta Fern Koon Graves and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He served in World War II with the U.S. Army's 10th Mountain Division. He was always a special "people person" who loved helping and doing for others throughout his lifetime. He will be greatly missed and well-remembered by all who knew and loved him. Services will be Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 27025 Kanis Road, officiated by Rev. Carroll Koon and Rev. Joey Koon, followed by interment with Military Honors at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. A very special thanks to Hospice Home Care for their loving care of our loved one.
