Sybol Audrey Carter

Sybol Audrey Cain Carter of Benton, Arkansas, died Monday, November 17, 2014 in Benton. She was 93. Born to the late Willie Ira and Mamie Cain in Lonsdale, Arkansas, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, David Walton Carter. Sybol & David owned and operated the Western Auto store in Benton for 45 years. She was a member of many local service organizations for Benton, as well as Saline County, and she and David were lifetime members of the First United Methodist Church in Benton. Mrs. Carter is also preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Anne Green. Survivors include her sister, Sylvia Cain Caple, and numerous, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, friends, and family too numerous to mention. Services will be Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) with Pastor Daniel Thueson officiating. Interment will follow in Old Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be immediately prior to the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association, Benton Lions Club, or the First United Methodist Church Building Fund in Benton.
