Coy Lee Laney

Mrs. Coy Lee Laney age 83 of Forrest City, Arkansas died at the Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis after a short illness. Mrs. Laney was born November 21, 1930 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the daughter of James Marshall Boydston and Myrtle Lee Brazeale Boydston. Mrs. Laney was a registered nurse and a active member of the First United Methodist Church in Forrest City. She was also was a active volunteer at Orpheum Theatre in Memphis and the Forrest City Public Library. Mrs. Laney married Dr. J. Neal Laney in 1956 and he preceded her in death in 1982. She is survived by a daughter, Alesa Laney of Little Rock; three sons, Marshall Neal Laney of Forrest City, John Raymond Laney of Red Banks, Mississippi and Boyd Austin Laney of Malvern. Two grandsons also survive her, James Neal Laney and Jacob Carl Laney and two great-grandchildren, Patrice Lynn Laney and Mason James Laney. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Forrest City. Visit online registry at stevensfuneralhome.net.
