Malvin Earl Goode, 89 of Cabot went to be with the Lord on November 20, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was born January 18, 1925. Malvin was a lifelong farmer and construction worker. He was a Mason for over 50 years, a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and a kind loving person who never met a stranger. Malvin was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, daughter Mary Burrows and grandson Greg Rester. Survivors are daughter, Sandra (Maury) Rester of Fort Worth, Texas, son-in-law, Larry (Brenda) Burrows, Sr. of Bryant, two grandchildren, Larry (Stephanie) Burrows, Jr. of Jacksonville and Kristi (Mike) York of Waco, Texas, three great-grandchildren, Kinley Burrows, Clayton Burrows, and Kimberly Ann York, brothers-in-law, John Ginaris of Danville and Curt Kinnett of Houston, Texas, sister-in-law, Jean Ginaris of West Monroe, Louisiana, one special niece, Lori (Art) Cole and one special great-nephew, Parker Cole along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, 2-4 p.m. at Boyd Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 24 at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Cabot. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Chris Morgan and Chambers Nursing Home for their excellent care, love and support.
