Wilma M. Leonard, 90, of Damascus, passed away Nov. 21, 2014. She was born in Missouri to the late Henry and Verna Douglas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe E. Leonard; son, Robert L. Leonard; sisters, Janie Troutman and Dean Hammock; stepmother, Nora Douglas. Wilma, for almost 70 years, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Damascus. She taught Sunday School for many of those years and was active in church work for most of her adult life. Wilma was a homemaker and she loved spending time with family and friends. Her greatest joys in life were serving God, family and friends. She is survived by her sons, Timothy L. Leonard of Damascus and Joe D. Leonard of Sweet Home, Ore.; daughter, Mary E. "Beth" Parish of Falls Church, Va. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Sharp of Newport, Ark.; brother, Henry Douglas also of Newport. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Nov. 25, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Damascus with Brother Daniel Williams officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
