Robert Vernon Mowrey

Robert Vernon Mowrey, 88, of Benton, passed away on November 23, 2014. A native of Illinois, he was born on September 11, 1926. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a World War II veteran and retired dispatcher from the Union Pacific Railroad. He was an avid baseball fan and loved big-band music. He was preceded in death by his wife, Adeline, and stepson Charles McManus. He is survived by his stepson, James R. McManus (JoAnn), and daughters, Kathy Mowrey and Karen Hill (Todd); and grandchildren, Mathias McManus, Thomas McManus, Robert McManus, James McManus, Lisa Naron, Charlotte Tingey, Preston Hill, and Dallin Hill; and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
