Naomi R. Pierce Olive, 87, of Sherwood went home to be with the Lord on September 29, 2014. She was born October 4, 1926 to J.E. and Ruth Roane in Calhoun City Mississippi. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother as well as great-grandmother. She loved her God and Church was her life, as evident by her testimony as a believer in Christ and her testimony as a preacher's wife. She had a servant's heart at All Souls Church where she would sing in the choir, sing specials, play the piano as well as teach piano and most of all love to sing with her family. Naomi was preceded in death by her husbands, Billy G Pierce and William Olive; three brothers; Homer, Herbert and Truman Roane. Those remaining to cherish the memories of Naomi include her sisters, Stella Johnson of Ft. Smith, Ark., Mabel Dickinson of Abbeville, La., Rita Young of Montgomery, Texas; sons, David A Pierce of Sherwood, Ark.; John S Pierce (Sue) of North Little Rock, Ark.; and Curtis L Pierce of Austin, Ark.; grandchildren: John Cook, Alicia Dye, Chad Cook, Larry Wohner, Teena McClain (Daniel) and Tyler Pierce; seven great-grandchildren: Austin Keeling, Justin McMinn, Alynnah Finch, Hayle and Zachary Cook, Haylie Karr and Aidyn McClain and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home Chapel, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72117. (501) 835-3515.
