Billy J. Reeves

Billy J. Reeves, 71, of Vilonia, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 1, 2014. He was born May 14, 1943 in Columbia, Tenn. to the late Edward Rassie Reeves and Ruby Mae (Grammer) Reeves. Billy was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Reeves. Billy J. Reeves was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a long time member of Mt. Carmel Church in Vilonia. He was owner/operator of Franklinton Scrap Metal in Louisiana and later retired in Vilonia, Arkansas. Billy enjoyed restoring cars, playing his guitar, and spending time with family and friends. He was a very gentle and kind hearted person who loved animals and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Billy is survived by Shirlee Reeves, two sons, Karl Edward Reeves (Lori) of Pioneer, Ohio and Tony Lee Reeves of Hammond, La., three daughters, Tracey Sanders (Kevin) of Vilonia, Ark., Sheila Bertke (Joe) of Farmer, Ohio, and Vicki Wilson of Bryan, Ohio, grandchildren, Mark, Isabella, and Jordan Sanders of Vilonia, Ark., Brandon and Jordan Reeves of Pioneer, Ohio, Summer Powell, Katie and Emma Bertke of Farmer, Ohio, isters, Dorothy Smith (Howard) of Vilonia, Ark., Betty Baker of Biloxi Miss., and Peggy Record (Sonny) of Jackson, Tenn., his best friend, Paul Bryant, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 4th at Mt. Carmel Church in Vilonia, with Bro. Greg Doss officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
