Clifton Roy "Pete" Lewis

Clifton Roy "Pete" Lewis, age 61, of Wye Mountain, passed peacefully Sunday, September 28. He was raised on Wye Mountain and graduated from Bigelow High School. He worked as an auto body man and was a professional boxer. He fought in the IBF world middle weight championship in 1988. A legend and true one of a kind he maintained his fighting character till the end. He was preceded in death by his mother Billie Liddick and grandparents Media Clifford and William Lewis and son Devon Lewis. He is survived by his children Grayson, Brandon, Aaron, Preston, Cameron, Chris, Bryon, Jason, Josh, Dillon, Clinton and Dustin; eight siblings and 25 grandchildren. Memorial services will be 5:30 p.m. Saturday, October 4, at Souls Anchor Church with Sister Jean Zulpo and Misty McCullum officiating. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
