Twyla Reese Ferguson

Twyla Reese Ferguson, 79, of Dardanelle, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was born June 14, 1935 at Daisy, Arkansas to the late Boyd Reese and Verna Ford Austin. She was a member of the Dardanelle Church of Christ, Dardanelle Garden Club, Committee of 100 for The Ozark Folk Center, Russellville Music Club, past Yell County and Regional Library Board Member and was a teacher for over 40 years at the Dardanelle Church of Christ. One of her most cherished accomplishments was teaching others to read. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Dr. Ray Ferguson. Survivors include one daughter, Sabra Ferguson of Dardanelle; one son, Todd Ferguson and wife Tracy of Little Rock; one brother, Jim Reese and wife Martha of Texarkana, Ark.; three grandchildren, Matt, Alex and Nate Ferguson all of Little Rock; one nephew, Mark Reese and wife Marcy of Tennessee; one niece, Kim McVay and husband Michael of Texarkana, Ark. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Dardanelle Church of Christ with Bro. Mark Auten officiating. Burial will be in Brearley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Elders and the Deacons of the Dardanelle Church of Christ.
