Bobby E. Outlaw

Ret. Police Chief Bobby E. Outlaw, age 78, of Warren, Ark. died Saturday, Oct. 4 at his home. He was born Dec. 28, 1935 in Possum Valley, Ark., a son of the late Albert Wesley Outlaw and Irma Glennon Outlaw. He was a retired staff sergeant with the United States Army, a Vietnam War Veteran with 22 years of service and received the Bronze Star. He was a retired police officer with the Warren Police Department, serving 18 years and the last eight years he served and retired as Chief of Police. He enjoyed fishing, working in his garden and especially spending time with his family and grandkids. He was a member of Christian Fellowship Church, where he served as a deacon, and on Sept. 29, 1972, he married Glenda Goodman Outlaw spanning a marriage of 42 years. Also preceding him in death was a brother Leslie Outlaw, sister Letha Mae Saffold and Sara Dean Coddington. Surviving other than his wife are three sons, Dan Outlaw and spouse Alicia, Rye, Ark., Paul E. Outlaw and spouse Nikki, Warren and David Outlaw of Montana. A step son, John Clancy, Hermitage, Ark. A sister Ida Lee Sweeney and spouse Claude Jr, Hermitage, Ark., 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services: 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6 at Frazer's Chapel.
