Bobby Joe Chaney

Bobby Joe Chaney, 75 of Marcella, died Saturday, October 4, 2014. Bobby was born June 12, 1939 in Jackson, La., to the late Earl and Betty (Bourke) Chaney. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Janet Deaton and one grandchild. Mr. Chaney proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He was active in the local American Legion, serving as secretary. He owned and operated several "country" stores over the years. He had a green thumb and loved to garden, but most of all loved to spend time with his family. He is survived by children Zoé Martello, Karen Holmes (Vaiden), Stephanie King (Bryan), Mark Hamilton, Lisa Hamilton, Jenson Hamilton (Kristi), and Brian Hamilton (Mary); sister Marlena Miller; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at York Cemetery in Marcella. www.arkansasfuneralcare.com.
