W.A. Dub Roberts

W.R. (Dub) Roberts passed from this life on Sunday October 5, 2014 at the age of 101. Born on September 25, 1913 to the late Walter and Jimmie Roberts of Humphrey, Ark., he was a farmer and served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee during WWII. He was a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church of England. Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Gladys Roberts. He is survived by two sons, Dan (Marilyn) Roberts of England, Richard (Wanda) Roberts of Texarkana, Ark., and a daughter Marion (Gene) Harp of England. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Service is Wednesday, October 8, 10 a.m. at Wilson Robison Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Flynn Cemetery, Humnoke. Visitation will be Tuesday October 7 from 5-7 p.m.at Wilson Robison Chapel. Wilson Robison Funeral Home of England is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
