Virgil G. Alexander, age 83, of Siloam Springs, Ark., passed away on October 6. He was born February 25, 1931 in Stella, Missouri to James Thomas Alexander and Rosie Turner. He married Ruth Lewis in Anderson, Missouri on August 19, 1949. Virgil Alexander was a true entrepreneur. His many business ventures include: President of Citation, Mfg. Co. And Steam Cleaners, President of Leisure Time Products, Inventor of Robo Car Wash, Rover Golf Caddy, and Pong Table, Developer of Highland Park Shopping Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Rosie Alexander; and two brothers, Wayne and Jerry Alexander. He was survived by wife, Ruth Alexander, of Siloam Springs; one son, Mark Alexander and wife Lynetta, of Siloam Springs; two daughters, Cheryl Conklin and husband Robert of Tulsa, Okla.; Susan Case and husband Jimmy of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; 10 grandchildren, John Huskins, Brett Huskins, Kam Rackleff, Tara Rackleff, Madison Alexander, Scout Alexander, Josh Case, Jessica Spowart, Jared Case and Jake Case; one sister, Huelene Carlin of Anderson, MO; and many nieces and nephews. But most importantly he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and loved by many friends. He loved boating and was an avid golfer and known to win a bet or two. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, October 9, 2014 at First Christian Church, Siloam Springs, Arkansas with Tommy Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs. Visitation will be 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
