Robin Miller Braun, 59, of Hot Springs, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at her home. She was born September 9, 1955 in Little Rock to the late Dalton A and Nancy Crandall Miller. As a believer she is now residing in Heaven. Robin was a beautiful dynamic woman who had a great capacity for love and dedication for her family and friends who she loved unconditionally and wholeheartedly. With an intelligent spirit of playfulness she found joy in her family, friends and relationships she built through 50 for the Future, Jazzercise, and the Birthday Club of Hot Springs. She always found deep happiness in the outdoors, flowers, and birds, but never more than when gardening, hiking or spending time at Garvan Woodland Gardens, where she was a proud charter member. Her fiery passions for politics, finance, interior decorating and gardening will be cherished by those fortunate enough to experience her dynamic spirit. After graduating from Henderson in 1977, and several years of graduate work she became a licensed psychologist. In 1982, she was appointed by then Governor Bill Clinton to direct the Office of Rural Health, where she would stay until the birth of her son John in 1987. She was devoted to the family business Braun Eye Clinic where she served as the office director. Her beautiful sweet playful nature will be cherished by her husband of 31 years, Dr. Jim Braun; two sons, Eric Braun (Rachel) Braun of Little Rock and Dr. John Braun of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; her sister Rene' Burns (Steve) of Hot Springs; Sister-in-law, Barbara Larsen (Kent) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; nephew Jared Larsen, three nieces, Sarah Burns, Kjerstin Lifto, and Kendra Hildenroth; and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Gross Funeral Home. A celebration of Robin's life will be held at 11 a.m., Monday October 20, 2014 in the sanctuary of her church, First United Methodist with Rev. David B. Wilson officiating. Family will be present at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary to receive friends and family.
