Margie Mae Leet, 80, of Perryville, Ark., unexpectedly passed away on Oct. 17, 2014. She was born in Keiser, Ark. on Sept. 24, 1934, a daughter of the late Elton Smith Fox and the late Myrtle Mae Fox. Margie graduated from Marked Tree High School. She married Jesse Reynolds Leet on July 25, 1953; they were married 61 wonderful years. Margie's first job after high school was with St. Francis Valley Farm and Implement Company in Marked Tree, Ark. as a bookkeeper. From 1954-1970, she worked for the Arkansas State Department of Health. From 1979-1992, she was secretary-treasurer at First Baptist Church, Alexander, Ark. A devout Christian, Margie loved to work in the garden, can vegetables, tend her flowers and spend time with her family and friends. Margie is survived by her husband, Jesse R. Leet; her two children, Timothy E. Leet of Malvern, Cindy E. Turner and her husband, David A. Turner of Oppelo; two grandchildren, Rebecca E. Leet and Sara E. Leet; two sisters, Helen Turner and Hazel Thomas and her husband, Joe Thomas; numerous nieces and nephews and many relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014 at Perryville Second Baptist Church. Rev. Richard Gambill will be officiating. The burial will be held 2 p.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Perryville Second Baptist Church.
