Voniece Webb Dawley

Voniece Webb Dawley, age 74, of Arkadelphia died Sunday, October 19, 2014 in Little Rock. She was born August 1, 1940 the daughter of Virgil and Hattie Webb. She was a 1958 graduate of Arkadelphia High School and a 1962 graduate of Henderson State University with a degree in elementary education. She retired from the Arkadelphia School System in 2002. During a break from teaching to raise her daughter, she served on the Arkadelphia School Board, 1971-1981. She belonged to a number of organizations over the years including Beta Sigma Phi, Junior Auxiliary and PEO. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Don Dawley, one daughter, Denice Wagner of Benton, one granddaughter, Grace Wagner, sisters-in-law, Jane Fray of Crossville, Tenn. and Florence Ryburn of Parkway Village. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 23, at First Baptist Church in Arkadelphia with Dr. Lee McGlone officiating.
