Maxine Owen

Maxine Owen, 89, of Maumelle, Ark. went home to be with Jesus on October 20, 2014. She was born July 22, 1925, in Mountain Home, Ark. A resident of Maumelle for 19 years, she was a member of New Life Church in her home town. Mrs. Owen was preceded in death by her husband; Reverend Wayne Owen. She is survived by two daughters; Darla Haas (David) of Maumelle, Ark., and Carol Roberts (Billy) of Canton, Ga; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The Owens served as pastors for many years in churches both in Kentucky and California. Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Owen continued her work in the ministry, frequently speaking at women's retreats and conferences. She was a spiritual guide and life mentor to many and an inspiration to all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. 72211 (501) 224-8300, on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at 3 p.m., Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
