Never a more precious soul walked this earth than EMOGENE SEXTON BAKER, who went to be forever with her savior on Oct. 23, 2014. Born July 5, 1927, she was 87 years old. Emogene joins in heaven her husband, Bob; her parents, George and Viva Sexton; her brother, Grover, and many more family and friends. Known most lovingly as Gigi, her faith, wit and patience made her the rock of the Baker family. Plenty of jokes, wit and wisdom came out of her mouth, but never an unkind word. She loved her jobs over the years, from working at the phone company in the 1950s, to doing sausage and pizza demos, to Lottie's Shoes and especially at Bennett's. No one left Gigi's presence without being blessed. She loved Jesus and shared His love with everyone she met. She leaves behind her son, Bobby Baker; granddaughter, Shelley Rohr and husband Shawn; grandson, Lance Baker and wife Olivia, as well as great-grandchildren, Madison, Dylan, Truitt, Whitney, Atalanta and Ashlyn. Her family was her life and now her legacy. We are all better people for having her in our lives. She was the very definition of love, which is putting others' needs before your own. That is how she lived her life. Life will never be the same without you, but heaven all the richer because of you. Graveside service will be Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cabot, Ark. Cremation arrangements by Smith – Westbrook Funeral Home: www.SmithFamilyCares.com
