Sgt. Major Harold Prince United States Army (Ret.) age 82, of Jacksonville went to be with his Lord on Monday, October 27, 2014. He was born November 14, 1931 in Marmaduke, Arkansas to late Dave and Lura Prince. Mr. Prince served in the United States Army for over 27 years. He was a Green Beret, served several tours in Vietnam and worked in Signal Corps and Communications. After retirement he went on to work as a civil engineer. He attended Sylvan Hills Community Church in Sherwood, he was a member of VFW Post 4548 and Moose Lodge 944. He enjoyed music, dancing, and was a motorcycle enthusiast. He is survived by his loving wife Shirley Prince, children; David Prince and his wife Judy, Gary Prince, Dennis Prince and his wife Gerri, Gregory Prince and his wife Sandra, Kimberly Prince, step-children; Danny Carter, Ricky Carter, Steve Carter, Mary "Sissy" Twitty, 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, special friends, Gill and Rhonda Moser, Stan Williams, Fred Bergan and Gerald Jones. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Bro. Tim McMinn officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
