Mary Lee (Branscum) Phifer, 78, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014. Born Dec. 10, 1935 in Culp, Ark., a daughter of the late Albert and Beulah Bagwell Branscum. Mary was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Eugene Phifer; four brothers, Buster, Carl, Bud and Harvey D. Branscum; two sisters, Zella Cox and Jeraldine Chism. Mary is survived by two sons, Larry Phifer and wife Janie of Bald Knob and Tommy Phifer of Judsonia; three grandchildren, Mark Phifer and wife Shelly of Bald Knob, Michael Phifer of Bald Knob and Tisha Phifer of Judsonia; six great-grandchildren, Jordan, Adeline, Mason, Alexis, Malek and Makayla; four brothers, Leffel, Louie, Arvey C. and Jim Branscum, as well as numerous sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Mary worked for 27 years at General Industries in Bald Knob and loved to tell stories and memories of the many friends she had there. She will be loved, missed and always remembered by her neighbors, friends and family. Visitation: Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. Services: Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, 2 p.m., Powell Funeral Home Chapel.
